Jerman, Tina et. al (2003): Visible Visions – art in the context of the World summit on sustainable development 2002 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Essen: EXILE-edition.
In cooperation with the office for equality in Hagen.
This was the first time that, during a UN summit, an art project steered people’s attention to global issues such as female labour and the social involvement of women. Visible Visions intended to confront mostly male politicians with the “visible” opinions of those who are directly affected by their decisions regarding sustainable development, i.e. mostly women.
